Director of emotive films revealing inner truths through light & movement.
DIRECTOR &
STORYTELLER
I’m Alejandra Vidal, a director and storyteller seeking to unearth beauty and intimacy. I believe our deepest connections are found in the quiet spaces—where light meets shadow, where love and longing coexist, felt as much as witnessed.
My approach is feminine, artful, and deeply sensitive, inviting viewers into a sensory journey that transcends traditional storytelling. To me, filmmaking is about honoring what we long to feel and revealing life’s quiet, unseen moments.

TRUST
Shadows
Young brothers Max and Noah find sanctuary in an imaginary world made of shadows, but when reality collapses in around them, they must face the dark together.

FILMSUPPLY
Color of Emotion
Commissioned by Trust and Filmsupply, I directed a conceptual short that explores how color shapes emotion–a visual playground designed for their licensing site. I teamed up with movement director Olga Sokolova (Obi-Wan Kenobi) to build a cinematic world where every hue pulses with feeling—each frame a standalone story waiting to be told.

NETFLIX SERIES INTRO
The Painting
This spec intro for Netflix tells the captivating story of a painter’s muse who awakens to confront the delicate balance between truth and illusion. By physically suspending an actual frame, we created a unique visual experience that allowed the audience to literally enter her world, blurring the lines between reality and artistry.

INSIDE THE CREATIVE WORLD OF INTERNATIONAL FLORIST KATIE DAVIS
Intuition: A Series
This film is inspired by Katie Davis’ journey back to creating—choosing joy over fear and trusting her instincts after years away. It’s a reminder that our most powerful work comes when we let intuition lead, especially as women, embracing both vulnerability and strength to create with honesty and deep connection.

Set in a European-inspired private estate, this editorial film for Anne Barge’s Spring collection captures the brand’s vision of effortless elegance paired with couture millinery. Using romantic, ethereal movements and sunlit fabrics, we brought a sophisticated yet fashion-forward Parisian aesthetic to life.

SHORT FILM
Hidden: The Awakening of a Forgotten Muse
This short film follows a forgotten statue that awakens after years hidden beneath a veil, longing to be seen. Inspired by Sleeping At Last’s Type Four song, it explores identity and significance through movement and light—using dynamic lighting with DP Jacen Sievers to show time passing and a set by Lindsey Steed that places all eyes on ballerina Juliet Doherty, mirroring the Type Four’s deep internal world.
